After a beautiful, sunny and relaxing summer vacation, going back to work can sometimes be trying… Source of stress and fatigue, it is sometimes difficult to get through this period with peace of mind. Discover our advice to be ready to face back to work in beauty.

Getting back in shape

The sport

The daily rhythm will resume and it can be hard to follow after a long vacation in the sun. This is why it is important to practice a sport activity in order to be in shape physically as well as mentally. It is therefore the best time to start a sport activity by registering now for a dance, swimming, tennis or any other activity you would like to do in your free time.

The sleep

To complete the sports effort, it is necessary to have a good sleep rhythm. To do this, progressively advance the time of bedtime as well as the time of waking up the week before going back to work. Sleeping is not only essential to be in shape on D-day but it is also beneficial for our skin. Indeed, lack of sleep causes an increase in cortisol, the stress hormone, and can promote acne or eczema.

Take time for yourself

In order to reduce back to work stress, it is important to be able to think about something else: what better way to clear your mind than to take care of yourself!

Before going back to school, consider doing hair and face masks once or twice a week. Our Shea Radiance Mask, made of Shea Butter and White Clay, is the ideal treatment that will leave your skin soft, moisturized and radiant for the new school year. Apply it in a thick layer to the face, avoiding the eye and lip areas. Finally, leave on for a few minutes, then remove the mask with a cotton pad and rinse with warm water. To complete this treatment, apply our Shea Moisturizing Day Cream so that your skin is deeply nourished

Another beauty tip to take care of yourself: exfoliate your body. Without overdoing it, once or twice a week, take an exfoliating glove and make light circular movements so as not to aggress your skin. Once this step is done, moisturize your body with our Shea Body Milk delicately scented with Milk Cream for a soft skin after this scrub.

Prolonging your tan naturally

After a vacation in the sun, we all want to keep our tan as long as possible. There are natural methods for this.

Beta-carotene

One of them is to make a cure of beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is a plant pigment found mainly in vegetables and it allows the synthesis of vitamin A. As an antioxidant and anti-radical, it acts on the skin for a healthy glow. Foods rich in beta-carotene include: raw carrots, sweet potatoes, apricots, melons, parsley and pumpkins.

Hydration

Finally, increase your skin’s moisture level to keep your tan longer. Indeed, a dehydrated skin will lose its brightness and peel more quickly. That’s why it’s recommended to drink between 1.5L and 3L of water throughout the day. Teas, herbal teas, freshly squeezed juices… are also recommended to help you prolong your tan.
