Did you know that our face has nearly 50 muscles? Just like those of our body, our facial muscles tend to relax over time. The consequence?Sagging skin and marked wrinkles.

Facial gymnastic, What is it?

Facial gymnastic is a gentle method that consists to work the facial and neck muscles to firm up the skin but also to prevent and reduce wrinkles through muscle contraction exercises.

Why practice it?

The facial gymnastic helps to tone the face and lift up sagging features. Indeed, over time the muscle fibers can relax. The causes? Hormonal changes, tobacco, alcohol or even pollution.

For whom?

No need to wait for wrinkles to show up to start!

You can practice facial gymnastics from 25 years old as a preventive measure.

Are you over that age? Do not panic, this will help reduce them and improve the appearance of your skin.

What are the gestures to adopt?

To begin, stand in front of your mirror to visualize the movements, take several deep breaths, then exhale to relax. Repeat each of the following exercises five times in a row:

Exercise to smooth the eye area

Apply our Shea Anti-Aging Eye Cream and make delicate pressure movements with the fingertips, starting from the inner corner of the eye to the hairline at the level of the brow bone then at the top of the cheekbone.

Exercise to reshape the oval of the face

Tilt your head slightly downward and place both of your closed fists under your chin. For 3 to 5 seconds, push with your face against your fists and apply counter pressure with your fists.

Exercise to plump up and smooth lips

Pronounce the letter O and U with exaggeration. Then spread a few small pearls of our Shea Hydrating Day Cream on the edges of the lips and massage in circles.

These exercises will stimulate microcirculation and boost collagen production to tone the skin.

A few more tips

Remember to hydrate yourself!

A well-moisturized skin ages less quickly and remains radiant, so remember to apply a day and night cream. As a complement, apply our Shea Hydra Mask once or twice a week, it will intensely rehydrate your skin.

We can never say it enough, but also remember to drink 1.5 L every day. Drinking is the most important thing for our skin. Indeed, 30% of our water reserves are found in our skin.
