Day after day, facial pores can become dilated. This dilation can be due to: sebum excess, accumulated impurities, pollution, …, which leads to the development of imperfections such as blackheads and spots.

What are the pores for?

Their basic function is essential for the skin. They are small openings that allow the skin to breathe, to evacuate sebum and dead cells. Nevertheless, it often happens that the pores become obstructed and visible. This is when spots and blackheads develop. Due to their high sebum production, combination and oily skin are more likely to have large pores. So, to reduce their appearance and regain beautiful skin, a regular skin care is needed.

How to tighten pores?

To do this, discover our Micellar Water, made up of 96% natural ingredients. It moisturises, purifies, and calms even the most sensitive skin. Also remember to cleanse your skin in the morning to eliminate the impurities accumulated during your sleep.

Deeply cleanse the skin. At the end of the day, it is essential to clear the skin of any impurities that may have accumulated. In particular, make-up that fills the pores and stops it from breathing. Therefore, every evening, make sure you remove your make-up and cleanse your skin.

Exfoliate. Use an exfoliating treatment once or twice a week to remove impurities and boost pores’ regeneration. Once you’ve exfoliated, it’s the best time to apply a mask because the active ingredients will be absorbed better by your skin. To learn more about exfoliation techniques, read our article: “Exfoliation and Peeling, what’s the difference?“.

Purify the skin. Use a purifying mask like our Shea Butter Radiance Mask. The combination of Shea Butter and White Clay, known for their remineralising and purifying properties, helps you to regain a radiant and clear skin gently.

Once the skin has been cleansed, you can use a lotion that will remove the last impurities and tighten the pores.

Finally, moisturise the face with a specific care product. The moisturising step is essential for all skin types. However, you need to find the skin care product that suits you. In the case of dilated pores, which mainly concerns combination and oily skins, it is better to use a less rich texture, such as a day fluid.
